FAITH STUDENT MINISTRY

As a part of the overall mission of Faith Church, Faith Student Ministries exists to make disciples of teenage students. A disciple is someone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ and keeps his Word out of love and gratitude for Christ and his work to save (John 1:12-13, 1 John 2:5-6).

To accomplish these purposes Faith Student Ministries prioritizes teaching the gospel through the Scriptures and taking part in the means of grace like prayer, discussion surrounding the Bible’s application, and learning from the examples of the faith within Faith Church’s members. In conjunction with these priorities, Faith Student Ministries also has opportunities for students to have fun through games/activities and grow in relationship with other students and volunteers.

Sunday Mornings

Each week we invite teenage students to gather together to worship, study God’s Word, and discuss how it applies to their lives.

The Junior High and High School group (grades 7-12) meet at 9:00 a.m. in the Student Ministry Wing, Room 40. The class offers solid Bible teaching from the Teaching Team.

At the end of the teaching time, students gather in SMS (Sunday Morning Shepherd) Groups, led by adult volunteers. These SMS leaders guide the groups in a discussion about the lesson, with specific application for the students in the group. Students also spend time in prayer for each other as a group every week.

While our student classes are designed to meet the specific needs and concerns of our teenage students, they are not designed to be a replacement for the church’s main service. Rather, the student classes are a supplement to the main service, and we encourage all of our students to worship in the sanctuary each week with their families.
