Fall Women’s Bible Studies

Starting September 11th!

Join us this fall as we dive into God’s Word, learning what it means to walk in His ways, equip one another, and carry out His Kingdom work. We will have three morning studies, Thursdays 9:30–11:30 AM (childcare provided), and one evening study, Thursdays 7:00–9:00 PM (no childcare).

Wisdom, joy, perseverance in trials, faith and works, taming the tongue, and handling conflict are some of the many power-packed topics James teaches on in his little five chapter letter. Join us for an interactive group study which we hope will prove to be both very practical and transformational.

Ephesians – taught by Debbi Allan and Laura Kingsley

“Who am I?” The question of identity is always in the back of our minds, and it’s currently at the forefront of social conversations. But the first question we need to ask is: Who is God? Then we can begin to consider, And who am I in light of who He is?

In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul describes God as a merciful and forgiving Father who unites us in Christ and empowers us to live by the Spirit. We’re adopted children and fellow citizens with the saints because of God’s loving pursuit on our behalf. (Video teaching)

Deuteronomy – taught by Mary Norton and Anna Patterson

Join us as we explore the book of Deuteronomy using the Knowing the Bible 12-Week Study. Deuteronomy is part of the Pentateuch, and it recounts the last words of Moses as the Israelites prepare to enter the Promised Land.

Major themes of Deuteronomy include The Covenant, obedience, and God’s faithfulness. These themes will prepare our hearts and minds to worship Jesus as the fulfillment of all things.

Paul’s letters to the Thessalonian church remind God’s people of the salvation he has secured for those he has called. When King Jesus returns, he will deliver his people and bring justice to the earth. This class will study the timeless truths of these letters, exploring what they say and how to apply them to our lives today. Join us as we consider how Paul’s words to the Thessalonians encourage us with assurance and hope—pointing us to God’s faithfulness as we seek to pursue lives of holiness and love in anticipation of Christ’s return.

Respectable Sins: Confronting Sins We Tolerate | Room 8

Whatever happened to sin? Have Christians become so preoccupied with the major sins of our society that we’ve lost sight of our need to deal with our own more subtle sins? There are a whole host of behaviors that we regard as acceptable even though the Bible describes them as sinful—such as jealously, anger, judgmentalism, selfishness, impatience, and so on. This class will help us get to the heart of the matter, showing us how the profound mercy of the gospel and the transforming grace of God helps us overcome these “respectable sins.”
