So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

At Faith Church, we believe that membership in the local church matters. The New Testament instructs Christians to formally commit themselves to a local church for mutual encouragement in the faith, for their protection and instruction, and for living out their discipleship as a follower of King Jesus, who shed his blood for the church. In fact, Jesus established the local church to be one of the primary means through which his people become more like him. It’s through church membership that we display the gospel through our sacrificial love and commitment to one another.
To that end, we offer a Membership Class for all prospective members who would like to know more about what it means to be a member of Faith Church before they commit. We want you to know what church membership is all about and how to prayerfully consider what it looks like for you to commit to Christ’s people in the local church. Led by our pastors, this class is designed to give you a comprehensive view of Faith Church. You’ll learn more about who we are, what we believe, and how we seek to live out our beliefs as a church. Over the course of about three hours, you’ll learn more about:
- What the Bible teaches about local church membership
- Faith Church’s Statement of Faith
- Faith Church’s Distinctives and Priorities
- The commitments we make to one another as members
We also provide opportunities for you to ask any questions that might arise from the class or from your personal experience with the church. Those who attend the class are not obligated to become members of the church, but are eligible to sign up for a membership interview with one of our pastors/elders, which is the next step in our membership process.
