Thanksgiving Blessing Boxes
November 1 – 15
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to gather with family and friends and reflect on the blessings of the past year. Many of us experience renewed hope and faith during the Thanksgiving holiday because we focus on what is most important, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Despite the blessings and joy that we experience, there are still those in our own midst and in our own Community that struggle to make ends meet and may not be as fortunate. This is even more evident in 2020 with the impact and challenges of COVID. With these things in mind, we ask you or your family to consider filling a Thanksgiving Blessing Box of prescribed items that will provide one or more meals and be a blessing to another family. If you would like a Thanksgiving Blessing Box, but are unable to pick one up at Church, contact Mitch Ostermeier using the Church Directory, and arrangements can be made to pick up and return a box. If you are unable or would rather not do a Thanksgiving Blessing Box, contributions towards grocery store cards are welcome.
Thanksgiving Blessing Boxes will be available starting Sunday, November 1st for three Sundays with a return date of all boxes to the church by Sunday, November 15th. Distribution of boxes will then go to those in our own church family, Milford Miami Ministries, and those designated for local outreach or in our Community. If you are interested in helping deliver Thanksgiving Blessing Boxes, please make your interest known at the table where the boxes are handed out.
