Morning Studies (9:30-11:30am)

1, 2 Kings by Gavin Ortlund

Leader: Jennifer French

The books of 1 and 2 Kings tell a sobering story—God’s people begin so well yet end so badly. But this isn’t just a story about failure; it’s the remarkable account of God working to fulfill His plan of salvation through judgment. Personally, I’ve never deeply studied 1 and 2 Kings, so now is the time. This study will not only help us understand the chronology of the Old Testament but also marvel at God’s kindness and mercy, even in judgment. Workbook.
Please order your copy and bring it with you the first week.

God’s Big Picture: Tracing the Storyline of the Bible by Vaughan Roberts

Leader: Karen Hitchcock

This Bible overview course traces the story of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation, showing how it all fits together to tell of God’s wonderful plan to save the world through Jesus Christ. Book and Video.

Free handouts will be provided.

Jonah by Priscilla Shirer

Leaders: Laura Kingsley or Debbi Allan | Link for the book: Amazon

Interruptions—they can be aggravating and even infuriating. But how we handle them reveals much about our hearts. What happens when God interrupts our lives? Like Jonah, we often run! In this study, Priscilla Shirer redefines interruptions as God’s invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah allowed God to interrupt his life, revival came to an entire city. Book and Video.
Please order your copy and bring it with you the first week.

Behold Your God by John Snyder

Leader: Christina Liebing | Co-leader: Stacey Troglin | Links for the book: Amazon

This study will guide us to meditate on God’s character through the lens of theologians and missionaries from church history, including Jonathan Edwards, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, and Amy Carmichael. These lessons remind us that the God of the Bible is the same God at work in history, in our lives today, and forevermore. May we know Him more richly and worship Him more deeply! Workbook and Video.
Please order your copy and bring it with you the first week.

Evening Studies (7-9pm)

The Wisdom of God: Seeing Jesus in the Psalms and Wisdom Books by Nancy Guthrie

Leader: Sandy Deel | Links for the book: Christianbook

This in-depth study of Old Testament Wisdom Literature will help us see it as Jesus taught: with Him at the center. As we uncover not only wise principles for living but also the Wise Person these books point to, we’ll deepen our understanding of Christ and prepare our hearts to worship Him more fully. Book and Video.
Please order your copy and bring it with you the first week.
