High School Winter Retreat
Jan 22 & 23 // Faith Church & Butler Springs Camp
Our annual High School Winter Retreat is coming up soon. Similar to all our planning this school year, we have made changes due to COVID. Following the same pattern we used for our JH Retreat in September, we will have a two-part retreat on Friday and Saturday, with students returning home to sleep Friday night.
Friday we will be at the church from 6:00-10:30pm. We will have a time of worship, teaching and small group discussion, and have different games and activities. We are very excited to welcome Scallywag Tag back into our building, for an on-site game of laser tag in the sanctuary.
Saturday we will meet at the church at 8:00am, and head to Butler Springs Camp for the day. The day will include more times of worship, teaching times and small group discussions, as well as other camp activities. We will have lunch and dinner at the camp, returning to the church by 11:00pm Saturday evening. There will be no retreat activities Sunday, so we will have our normal Sunday school class as usual on January 24.
Since this is an unusual retreat with separate days, we know some students might be able to attend just one day. We have structured the registration and pricing to reflect the costs associated with the different days, with a slight savings for registering for both days. Since the content of the teaching time is connected, we would love to have all our students attend both days. But whatever works for your student is great, we are happy to have anyone who can attend either day. Please register by Sunday, Jan 17th.
Students will be expected to wear masks for the entirety of the retreat, except for our meal times. While we cannot guarantee 6 feet of separation at all times, we will do our best to spread students out during our teaching times and our activities. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Pastor Bryan.
