High School Service Camp

Our departure for camp is rapidly approaching! While we are excited to go, we have some last minute items for you.
Waiver / Release Form: Every student will need to have this waiver completed and NOTARIZED to attend camp. Forms can be turned in at church on Sunday, May 30, or dropped off in the church office no later than June 2. VIEW PDF

Final Details: We will meet at Faith Church at 7am on Saturday, June 5. We will load up as quickly as possible and begin our trip to Lee University, in Cleveland, TN, arriving for registration around 2pm. Camp ends on June 9, and we will try to leave camp around 9am that morning. We anticipate arriving back at church around 3pm. We will be in touch as we get closer, to give a more precise time. Students will need to bring money for a fast-food lunch on the way to camp, and again on the way home.

Making summer plans with such uncertainty is a unique challenge. Normally this would have been the summer we went to Logan, WV for our missions trip with YouthWorks. However, we do not feel comfortable with this trip for a number of reasons, including the timeline for financial obligations. But we are excited to announce that we have found a great summer option for our high school students in 2021. We are going to attend Generate Camp, where we will participate in the SERVE camp option. (Our junior high group will also attend a different Generate Camp, participating in the CONNECT option). Generate Camp is part of ym360, a trusted ministry aimed at resourcing churches to serve students. Every summer, ym360 hosts 36 different Generate camps at 21 different locations around the country. Most of these camps are held on smaller college campuses, where they are the either the only, or at least the largest (by far) group on campus. These five-day camps engage students in large group teaching times, worship, games and other camp activities led by the Generate staff. Our group will participate in some of the large group activities each day, but we will also leave the campus to partner with a local ministry and serve the community with them during our camp week. Our High School group will be attending the Generate camp at Lee University, June 5 – 9, 2021. As camp gets closer, we will provide you with more detailed travel information, packing lists and more. The cost for this camp is approximately $400 (final price depends on total numbers, travel costs, etc.) with a $50 deposit due no later than Thursday, December 31. We cannot add students after this date, so please don’t delay in registering. Please understand that this deposit is non-refundable. A second payment of $175 will be due March 1, and a final payment of $175 will be due June 1. This camp is open to any student who is currently in grades 9-12. Friends are welcome to join us as well.
