Tuesdays // 2:00-3:30PM // June 4 – August 6

Hoopla! is a weekly event designed just for junior high students this summer. Believing that relationships are built on shared experiences, we want to provide great experiences for students to build relationships with other students, and with the Faith Church staff and volunteer leaders.

Hoopla! will take place every Tuesday afternoon from 2:00-3:30pm at Faith Church, beginning June 4. We will meet in the Student Ministry room, and each week will feature a different game or event, led by our high school Hoopla! staff team, along with Bryan and Pam. There is no cost for these events (except our River Run) and friends are always welcome. 

All we ask is that you sign up no later than Sunday of each week, so that we can prepare for the right number of students.  When registering, just select the add-on for the week you are signing up for.  You can sign up all at once, or sign up as you go throughout the summer.

Here is our schedule for the summer:

June 4 – Youth Room Games

We will kick off the Hoopla! season with a variety of standard Faith Student Ministry games, like Octaball, 9-Square in the air, Carpetball, Ultimate Pool, Round Robin, and more. 

June 11 – Capture the Flag

Come ready to run, steal, tag, and defend, as we play our own special version of Capture the Flag.

June 18 – No Hoopla!

There will be no Hoopla! this week, as our junior high group will be at Generate Camp in North Carolina. 

June 25 – Game Show Day

Our high school leaders have prepared several different Faith Student Ministry versions of classic game shows.  There will be trivia, head-to-head challenges, and crazy contests.  Prizes will be awarded!

July 2 – River Run **12:00-4:30pm**  $15, additional form needed

Our canoe trip with Morgan’s Canoe will get everyone completely wet, so please dress appropriately.  Also, avoid flip flops or other shoes that come off easy.  Bring a dry set of clothes and a towel to change into before getting back on the bus.  Please note the unique times for this event, and submit a copy of the Morgan’s Canoe form when registering.

July 9 – Color Wars

Colored powder will be flying everywhere as teams compete in color challenges.  Test your accuracy, protect your flag, and race around staining your opponents banner (and your opponents).  Wear clothes that can get stained.

July 16 – Water Wars

We have tons of water games that are guaranteed to get everyone soaking wet.  Dress appropriately, and bring a towel.  A change of clothes for the ride home may be a good idea!

July 23 – Gym Games

For this week, please meet in the Multi-Purpose room in the Life Center.  We will have several different dodgeball and volleyball games that we will be playing inside.

July 30 – Photo scavenger hunt

We will divide into teams and see how quickly you can find all the clues, and solve the final puzzle in this church-wide scavenger hunt.

August 6 – MessFest

We will close out our Hoopla! season with our infamous messy games event.  Wear clothes that can get messy and wet!  Bring a towel and change of clothes for the ride home.

***To register your child for this event:
  1. Click the Register Now button on the registration page
  2. Enter your email address
  3. When asked “Who are you registering…” choose “Family or Friend”
  4. You can add one or more children on the next step by clicking “add another attendee”
  5. Once you have added your children, Planning Center will save them as members of your household for future registrations
  6. Proceed with the registration form for each child as prompted.
