Thanks for your interest in learning more about Faith Church. Our mission as a church is to make more and better disciples here and around the world. We define a disciple as one who seeks to imitate the whole life of Christ by being in communion with God, in community with others and on mission with Christ.
Communion is all about our relationship with God. We want to imitate the relationship that Jesus had with His Father. Here at Faith Church, we want to see people begin a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and then grow in that relationship. We can do that individually, in smaller communities and corporately as we gather together each Sunday morning for worship.
Here at Faith Church you will often hear us use the term “Community.” By community, we are certainly talking about the large church community that we have, but we are also talking about smaller communities where people can do life together. People have the opportunity to have Bible study, prayer, fellowship, eat together and spend time with each other. In so doing they actually become friends who become family.
When we say we seek to be on mission with Christ, we are saying that we seek to share His love with the world around us. We do that individually and in community by tangible expressions of that love, acts of kindness and service to the world around us. We also do that by sharing the good news and the gospel so that the world and our communities might come to know the love of Jesus.
Thanks for taking the time to learn about the mission of Faith Church. Take some time to look around the website, and we hope to see you soon.
