Ministry Teams are led by a team of adult volunteers,with opportunities for students to join the leadership team as well. One or two students per team can apply to join our leadership team, and help shape the direction and scope of our Ministry Teams.
SENIOR HIGH MINISTRY TEAMS
2010-2011 School Year
I.C.U. Team
The I.C.U. Team exists to provide caring ministry to our Faith Church students. Team members greet students as they enter the youth room on Sunday mornings, welcome new students and visitors, recognize student birthdays and achievements, track attendance, and help students connect with various aspects of the youth ministry. I.C.U. team members will contact students throughout the year, funneling prayer requests to the prayer team, following up with visitors, and connecting students with LifeGroups.
Prayer Team
The Prayer Team exists to saturate the youth ministry at Faith Church in prayer. In addition to providing constant prayer coverage for specific events, members of the prayer team also regularly pray for every student in the youth ministry. Prayer Team members will make regular contact with students, praying through the directory, and following up on prayer requests. Team members will also be asked to create and implement a prayer chain in the youth group.
Praise Team
The Praise Team exists to lead our student body in worship of our Lord and Savior through music. More than just a performance, the Praise Team’s goal is to lead others to the throne of God, and guide a heart-focused time of reflection, praise and worship on Sunday mornings and at other special events.
S.W.A.T. Team
The S.W.A.T. Team (Serving With A Testimony) exists to glorify God through acts of service to others. Whether responding to calls requesting help, or taking the initiative to find service opportunities, the S.W.A.T. team expresses their love for God through service for others. While some events will be specific to the S.W.A.T. team, team members will also regularly invite all members of the youth group to be involved in serving the Lord by serving others.
Tech Team
Our Tech Team is dedicated to helping improve the communication of God’s Truth in a highly technological world. They manage the sound, lights and A/V equipment, on Sunday mornings and at special events. In addition to managing the equipment, the Techies are also responsible for upkeep of the equipment, software familiarization, and website maintenance. Training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary.
Film Crew
The Film Crew is responsible for all video projects that the youth ministry uses, from ideas, to filming, to editing, to production. The ministry is looking to create and use funny videos, event videos, promotional videos and teaching videos. Team members will learn basic filming methods, learn editing software, and produce videos to go along with the lessons of Sunday morning series, retreats, and other events.
Connexions Team
The Connexions Team is tasked with planning and implementing social events for our senior high group. These events will focus on building and growing student relationships through shared experiences. Connexions events are also designed to be excellent opportunities to connect new student to the group in a context outside of Sunday morning, so friends are always welcome. Connexions team members will help brainstorm event ideas, make personal invitations, and implement various aspects of each event.
Drama Team
The Drama Team will be asked to perform live dramas on Sunday mornings and other special events, as well as work with the film crew in production of videos to be used in the Student Ministries throughout the year. Dramas can be anywhere from short impromptu skits to more complex scripted dramas.
