CORE teams
CORE Teams are our student leadership teams. For those students who wish to use their spiritual gifts and natural talents to serve others, CORE Teams offer them opportunities to do so. CORE Teams lead various elements of our corporate worship time every Sunday morning. Additionally, they help plan and lead other youth group events.
Our Junior High CORE Team consists of a select number of 8th grade students who are dedicated to leading their peers. Led by a group of adults, the team has responsibility over a broad range of leadership opportunities both on Sunday mornings and in other contexts.
The Senior High CORE Teams are more ministry-specific, with separate teams taking responsibility for distinct roles. Adults and students leaders who help direct the nature and scope of the Teams’ activities.

SENIOR HIGH CORE TEAMS
2008-2009 School Year
“I.C.U.” Team
Adult Leaders: Larry & Karen Hitchcock
The I.C.U. Team exists to provide caring ministry to our students. If you have a heart for other students, to reach out and care for the hurting, to help students connect to our group, this may be a good fit for you. The I.C.U. team greets students as they enter the youth room on Sunday mornings, welcomes new students and visitors, recognizes student birthdays and achievements, tracks attendance, helps students connect with various aspects of the student ministry, and plans and implements assimilation-oriented events for the group.
Prayer Team
Adult Leader: TBD
The Prayer Team exists to saturate the youth ministry at Faith Church in prayer. In addition to providing constant prayer coverage for specific events, members of the prayer team also regularly pray for every student in the youth ministry. Prayer team members lead our youth groups in prayer each week during our Sunday morning times. They also are responsible for developing and implementing a prayer chain in the youth group. If you have a desire to be involved in prayer on behalf of our group, a desire to go before the Lord as an intercessor, you may want to consider joining the Prayer Team.
Praise Team
Adult Leaders: Jenny Peters, Tom Baron
The Praise Team exists to lead our student body in worship of our Lord and Savior through music. More than just a performance, the Praise Team’s goal is to lead others to the throne of God, and guide a heart-focused time of reflection, praise and worship on Sunday mornings and at other special events. If you have musical abilities, and a heart to lead others in worship, this may be the team for you. In addition to the regular monthly Ministry Team meetings, the Praise Team will also have weekly meetings/practices.
“S.W.A.T.” Team
Adult Leader: Sue Paul, Tracy Hope, Kelly Critz
The S.W.A.T. Team (Serving With A Testimony) exists to glorify God through acts of service to others. If you have a heart to serve others, to focus on their needs ahead of your own, and to sacrifice your time and energy for the good of others, you may enjoy being a part of the S.W.A.T. Team. This team constantly looks for service opportunities to get involved with, expressing their love for God through love for others. In addition to service opportunities just for the team, the S.W.A.T. Team will also plan and implement service opportunities for the youth group as a whole.
Techies
Adult Leader: Scott McGee
Our Techie Team is dedicated to helping improve the communication of God’s Truth in a highly technological world. They manage the sound, lights and A/V equipment on Sunday mornings and at special events. In addition to managing the equipment, the Techies are also responsible for upkeep of the equipment, software familiarization, and ideas for ways to better “package” the content of our youth ministry. If you enjoy working with the technical aspects of the youth room, this may a good fit for you. If you are interested but do not know how to work the equipment, specific training opportunities will be provided.
Film Crew
Adult Leader: Micah Simms
The Film Crew is responsible for all video projects that the youth ministry uses, including ideas, filming, editing, and production. The ministry is looking to create and use funny videos, event videos, promotional videos and teaching videos. Team members will learn basic filming methods, learn editing software, and produce videos to go along with the lessons of Sunday morning series, retreats, and other events. In addition to regular monthly meetings, team members may be needed throughout the week for film shoots, editing, and other production issues. If you have a desire to be the one behind the camera, this team may be for you!
