Junior High Fall Retreat
September 7-9 // Butler Springs Camp // $85 // Register by 8/26
We’re starting off the new school year with our annual Junior High Fall Retreat. Earlier than previous years, we will be headed to our favorite retreat location, Butler Springs Camp, September 7-9. The cost for this retreat is $85, with registration due no later than August 26.
The Fall Retreat is a great time for our students to get away from their day-to-day routines, and join their peers in experiences unique to the camp setting. On the retreat, students will spend time learning and studying what God’s Word says about who God made them to be. Students will have the opportunity to worship through song with each other, and build deeper relationships in small groups. We will also share cool experiences on the ropes course and zip line, and enjoy plenty of other camp games and events together.
While the weekend is designed to give students shared experiences together to build relationships, the primary goal is for students to grow in their relationship with God. We will see how God designed us all very differently, but with a common purpose of being in relationship with Him. All of our teaching, worship, small groups and activities will work together to enforce this primary goal.
We would love to see all of our junior high students join us for the retreat. And as always, friends are also welcome. Registration is available online, and is due no later than August 26. On Friday, September 7, we will meet at the church at 3:30pm. We will load up and hit the road, arriving at the camp in time for dinner. We will return to the church onSunday, September 9, by 12:00pm, in time for students to go home with their parents after church.
For the retreat, students will need to pack clothes and shoes for inside and outside activities for each day, a sleeping bag and pillow, shower stuff and towel, and a Bible, notebook and pen. We do not allow any personal electronics on our retreat, so please leave all phones, iPods and video games at home.
