Steve has served Faith Church as Senior Pastor since 1995. He has the responsibility of overseeing the total ministry, including supervising the pastoral staff, and most importantly, seeking God's leading in the major vision and direction of the church. In addition to preaching, Steve works closely with the Elder Board and General Board and leads the staff at Faith Church.

Before coming to Faith Church, Steve attended Wheaton College, Moody Bible Institute, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he earned his Doctor of Ministry degree. He interned with multi-racial, inner city Circle Evangelical Free Church during his college years in downtown Chicago. During seminary Steve interned in ministry to Single Adults with the Fellowship Bible Church of Park Cities in Dallas. After graduation from Dallas Theological Seminary, Steve served over eleven years with the First Evangelical Free Church of Wichita, Kansas, in a variety of associate roles. He came to Faith church because of a long-term passion to preach on a weekly basis.

Steve married Barbara in 1981. Barbara currently serves in both AWANA and the Daughters of Sarah ministries. The LoVellettes have three sons: Brett, Mark, and William.
