For many years Ryan has been interested in the technical world. Starting in the eighth grade (1996) he got involved in what was then merely the sound ministry at Faith Church as a volunteer. It is here where he learned many skills that would allow him to participate in and develop through numerous technical opportunities in high school and beyond.

Ryan has been on staff overseeing the technical ministry part time at Faith Church since 2002 and came on full-time in August 2007. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing volunteer teams, training those teams, and preparing the systems for upcoming events. Advancing the technology and technical capabilities is also a major focus of his job. The technical ministry has grown beyond just sound on Sunday morning, resulting in much time and coordination to provide technical services to the ministries of Faith Church. These services include recording, lighting, video, graphics, and technical theater.

Technical hobbies are not his only interests. Along with being an amateur radio operator and computer guru, he took private piano lessons for many years. Ryan graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2005 with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and a minor in mathematics.
