Harvey
began serving as Adult Ministries Pastor in August of 2002. Harvey
and his wife, Jenny, have been members at Faith Church since 1990.
Prior to this pastoral role, they served for 31 years with Campus
Crusade for Christ (CCC). Their ministry with CCC included ten years
in discipleship and evangelism with college students, seven years
as a Human Resource Director at CCC corporate headquarters, seminary
training in California, and twelve years with Athletes in Action
as Human Resource and Operations Director. Harvey has also served
as an Elder in four churches, adult teacher, small group leader,
and on various committees. The Pastor of Adult Ministries position
is a wonderful blend of the skills and gifts that God has been building
into his life for 30+ years.
His
responsibilities at Faith Church include the oversight of Small
Groups, Sunday morning adult elective classes (LIFE), Evangelism
Explosion, Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry, Joshua's and Issachar's
Men, Connections, MOPS, Faith over Fifty, SAM's, Discipleship Ministry,
Essential, Fellowship Ministry, Outdoor Ministry. Harvey also assists
with pastoral duties such as weddings and funerals, and serves with
the Elders.
Harvey
is married to Jenny, and they have three grown children - Dan, Emily,
and Tim.
