Rebecca Buckalew is the Associate Director of Caring Ministries and has been on staff since 2002. She spends about 10-12 hours a week in counseling appointments. Most of her time is spent directing the day to day operations of the various Caring Ministries, and some of the Outreach ministries (ShareFest, Thanksgiving Dinner, etc). She schedules the after-service prayer teams and helps to develop new Caring ministries, most recently the new Shut-In Visitation Ministry. Hospital visits and serving as on site funeral coordinator are two additional parts of her job. One of her passions is to make hospital and home visits to women in crisis.
Rebecca has a BA from Miami University and a Masters in Counseling from Liberty University. Most of her life was spent as a stay-at home Mom in Michigan but she has worked in Cincinnati at GrowthWays and for New Life Clinic as a counselor. She has three grown children and one son-in-law and lives with her mother, Martha Avey.
